What we do:

The Venari Group is an emergency vehicle fit-out specialist.

It's founding business, OH Vehicle Technology, is expert at converting conventional vans into fully kitted out ambulances.

This involves the installation of medical diagnostic systems, first-aid equipment, oxygen facilities, stretchers, rescue trolleys, all supported by communications and electronics that link the ambulance directly to hospitals and the other emergency services.

With a background of over 30 years of experience of building ambulances, Venari has recently diversified and opened a new facility using its expertise to build fire trucks.

The group as two facilities in Yorkshire, in Goole and Brighouse primarily supplying trucks to the northern regions of the UK.

Why we do it:

Ambulances are one of the most essential and vital tools for serving the public.

In their design and build the aim is to create a vehicle that makes the paramedic’s job as easy as possible, bearing in mind the difficult and stressful situations they often find themselves in. Everything must work first time and be ready to hand.

While we all hope we will never have to experience an ambulance call-out, you never know whether you might be the next to appreciate how well they function and the equipment they carry.

In addition to building new vehicles, Venari also works with the local health departments to service and upgrade ambulances to ensure they continue working to maximum efficiency.

The pride, the team, feels in seeing its ambulances go out of the door is immense.

The People who do it:

Converting a standard van or lorry into a fully operational emergency vehicle requires many skills working in close proximity. An ambulance is a complex mix of mechanical engineering, electronics, safety systems, storage, communication systems as well as coachbuilding.

Putting it all together means a team that collaborates well.

It generates a camaraderie which is repaid by the feelgood factor when another ambulance or fire truck rolls off the assembly line to play its part in our emergency services.

Following its recent investment in new facilities and expansion into the fire and rescue truck sector, Venari is confident of future growth and development.
