Reid Lifting
What we do:
Reid Lifting was formed in 1996, after Jim Reid first researched causes of lifting injuries in the water industry.
From the very start, and to the surprise of many in the lifting industry, Jim steered clear of the traditional use of steel and opted instead for the qualities inherent in light aluminium alloys.
Such strong, resilient and light materials have proven to be an inspired choice and form the current backbone behind the company’s success.
Since then Reid has been at the forefront of innovation in the lifting equipment market, designing products to meet industry requirements.
Why we do it:
Identifying specific lifting challenges and engineering to meet those unique needs has led the development of the Reid range. Its products have become industry-standards in water and wastewater, oil and gas, food processing, museum and other industries.
Answering the challenge of creating an engineering solution to a specific task which is practical, cost effective and most importantly safe is what keeps the team on its toes.
